Fried Candy Apples
1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
1 Stick Butter
*I use Gala apples, but Red Delicious are great, too. Don't use green or tart apples.
*I don't peel the apples but feel free do so if you'd like.
Pre-warm skillet. Slice applies about 1/2"-3/4" thick. Thick enough hold their shape, but not so thick they won't cook well. Lightly fry apples in buttered pan, before adding the stick of butter. Melt butter over apples. Add in brown sugar. Allow to simmer until apples are soft. Add in water if needed.
For a sweeter apple, drizzle honey over and stir before removing from heat. Serve warm. These are great with cider.
